The primary feature of the Timecode Tool is its timecode conversion capability, enabling users to switch seamlessly between 23.98, DF, NDF, and PAL timecodes. This functionality is particularly beneficial when working with PAL video, which operates at a different speed compared to NTSC. For instance, if a user identifies an issue at timecode 2:14:30:23 in a PAL version of a film, Timecode Tool allows quick conversion to the equivalent timecodes in the NTSC format. The application defaults to a starting time of one hour; however, users have the option to select among other even-hour values. Future updates may introduce the ability to input specific non-even hour timecodes based on user demand.

Another significant feature of Timecode Tool is its vari-speed audio functionality that corrects audio files running at incorrect speeds. Users can import audio into compatible software by entering the required sample rate. The tool calculates both the percentage difference and the correct sample rate needed for vari-speed operation (VSO), facilitating accurate synchronization. For example, if an audio file runs 20 frames shorter than necessary, users simply input the current length, target length, and sample rate to receive the appropriate data for importing at a customized rate.

The third distinctive feature is A-Frame Verification. A-Frames occur on identical frames at second intervals within a minute. Users needing to maintain proper cadence during editing can adjust the starting A-Frame by tapping the upper timecode and then entering an edit point by tapping the lower timecode.
